Nitin Sota is a well-known Indian stage dancer who first made his mark as a finalist on the country's very first dance show, "Boogie Woogie." His dance journey truly took shape in 2009 when his crew was nominated among the top four dance groups in the finals.
Born in Mumbai, Nitin started dancing at a very young age. After finishing school, he dedicated himself to learning dance and choreography. His passion led him to work on popular shows like "Boogie Woogie" and "Nach Baliye Season 5," and he had the chance to learn from top mentors such as Shaimak Dawar, Terrence Lewis, Saroj Khan, and Sandeep Soparkar.
From the very beginning, Nitin demonstrated an elegant and seemingly effortless style on stage—a result of countless hours of practice and a strong desire to perfect his art. He trained under several professionals, learning a range of styles from contemporary and aerial dance to hip hop, salsa, and Bollywood. Each mentor helped shape his versatile approach to dance.
Between 2011 and 2013, Nitin completed a one-year dance certificate program with Shaimak Dawar, which led to his role as a background choreographer on "Dance India Dance Season 3" alongside Terrence Lewis. He later contributed to shows like "Nach Baliye Season 5," worked at the Terrence Lewis Dance Academy in Mumbai, and supported the show "DID Super Moms."
In 2014, Nitin earned his Zumba certification with Sucheta Pal and began working as a Zumba instructor, eventually becoming an international Zumba Jammer candidate from India. The following year, he joined Saroj Khan's dance academy as an assistant choreographer and later worked on a Zee Cine Awards event with Ganesh Acharaya. These experiences inspired him to start his own dance academy while staying connected with his mentors.
By 2016, Nitin had grown into a celebrity choreographer, collaborating with popular artists and celebrities such as Razak Khan, Mandira Bedi, Urvashi Dholakia, and Ashika Bhatiya. His journey is a testament to the fact that with passion and hard work, dreams in the dance world can indeed come true.
"Joining this dance academy has been a transformative experience for our entire family. My daughter, who was once shy, now twirls with confidence in her ballet and Bollywood classes. The instructors are incredibly patient and nurturing with kids, making every session fun and educational."
" As an adult, I’ve found my rhythm again through their high-energy Zumba and hip-hop sessions. The atmosphere is electric, and the choreography is both challenging and empowering."
"The routines are easy to follow yet challenging enough to break a serious sweat. I've lost weight, gained confidence, and made amazing friends along the way. It's not just a workout—it's therapy, celebration, and transformation rolled into one."
"What I love most about this academy is how beautifully they blend joy with structure. My little one didn’t just learn how to dance—she discovered confidence, teamwork, and rhythm."
